Kidney Problems

How, does my doctor find out if i have any kidney problems?

Your doctor may ask you about the symptoms given above to find out whether you have any features of renal disease. He/She will then examine you to find out whether any features of renal disease exist in you. However to exclude any significant renal disease the doctor will check your blood pressure, order for a complete urine examination (also called a routine urine examination) to look mainly for proteinuria and ask for a serum creatinine to be done. With these measures most of the time your doctor will be able to exclude any renal problems if these tests are negative.
